Determine the Price: If you know what you want to sell, you can get information about the item such as the recent sales activity and price, appropriate listing category and key words, and examples of good descriptions.
Sign up for PayPal: It is recommended that you accept cashier checks or credit card payments via PayPal. It is free to sign up with PayPal which enables you to accept online payments for your auction items.
Maximize Your Item Title: Be sure to include key words that buyers will search for. Your item title is critical in helping users find your items, use descriptive key words.
Describe Your Item in Detail: A good description is key to selling your item. Your description should be to the point, well organized, and easy to read. Be sure to include the condition of the item, brand, style, and other attributes.
Include Photos: A picture is worth a thousand words! You can post up to three pictures free. Be sure to use good photos from a variety of angles to accurately display your item.
Include Shipping Costs & Information: Determine the cost for shipping your item.
United States Postal Service (USPS) has a postage calculator on their site www.usps.com Consider using USPS flat rate shipping for great price savings, free packing supplies and convenience. FedEx and UPS also offer rate calculators which come in useful in estimating your shipping costs. Providing free shipping or including shipping in the price of your item can give you an extra boost in sales.
